In Ohio, how do I calculate modified adjusted gross income with regards to rent and utilities with a disabled child in the home?

My 1 year old is on a vent and has been through hell. I'm trying to understand the MAGI rules but can't find a full listing and because of what I should be making at work I'm missing out on benefits we need to survive because its touch and go so often I keep having to take FMLA for him.

    MAGI is related to income.

    rent and utilities are expenses and not part of the MAGI calculation.
