Anyone have any personal Mandela Effects?
I really like hearing incidences about the Mandela effects. I know all the famous ones but I m even more interested in personal stories.
For instance, my freshman year college roommate, mentioned to me during sophomore year that I was a good roommate except for the time I came into the room late at night and turned the light on, and she told me she was sleeping and I apparently told her "you can put a pillow over your head. I need the lights on". I denied this happened because I never turned the lights on when she had them off at night. I always used the light from my phone screen. And she said "no this time you turned them on because Ashley (my friend) was with you" so I called Ashley over and my roommate asked her if she remembered this. Ashley said it never happened. My roommate said she was so sure it happened and that it wasn t a dream. I told a couple of other people in our friend group about it cause I was kind of mad that she was so convinced I did this cause I would never do something so rude and she kept insisting it happened even after Ashley confirmed it didn t, and other people said she d told them this story freshman year too, and they tried suggesting to her that it was a dream cause it didn t sound like something I d do, but she kept insisting with them that it really happened cause she remembers having to get up and use the bathroom after I woke her up and checking the time and everything.
It s just kind of weird. Anyone else have incidences like that?

It might be a weird one but in the 24K Bruno Mars video is 100% I saw him swing his hand to the side twice when he says ‘gotta show ‘em how a pimp get it in’ but when I watched the video again a few months ago he barely does it once. I have an insanely clear memory of him doing this twice!

I bought some and and lived in a tipi while we built a house. Not long after we’d been there, there was a heavy rain. The rain ran under the tipi and soaked all the throw rugs we had on the ground. The next day we moved the tipi over to a rise about 15 feet (~5 meters) away. So there a round bare spot on the ground. People asked what caused it. I said, “didn’t you see the spaceship that landed here last night?” It only took 3 days for the whole neighborhood to have all the details filled in.
I think that’s not quite what you’re asking, but it was a cool story to me.

Most of the Mandela effects I've read about, I can explain away if I sit and think about them. TOne of the few that I'm stuck on is the VW symbol. I remember it changing - it would've been about 2 years ago - I remember consciously realising they'd put a gap between the V and the W that wasn't there before. One of the features of the VW symbol as I remember it, was that the fact the V and the W merged meant it defeated the brain's automatic letter recognition and you had to momentarily look at it more closely to see what it was - and that was true every time you looked at it.
That was an intrinsic feature of the VW logo as I knew it, and I clearly remember a point where it ceased to be a feature and there was a gap instead - a gap which apparently has always been there.
It's an interesting topic
