Is anyone else tired of scrolling past the Chinese spam and racist garbage on this site?
Y!A has been a ghost town for years, starting by Yahoo! dropping the old green format and firing every human being who did anything other than repeatedly click a "deny appeal" button. But what the hell is going on with 3/4 of the site being stuffed with ads for Chinese knockoffs?
Even the endless advertisements for Chandigarh prostitutes were more tolerable than this. But hey, the f*cking sponsored ads still work, so do you think anyone at Yahoo! will lift a finger to fix this?

They should just block anything with Chinese letters, and only allow it to be posted on the Chinese site

Yes. I've done it for three days. Seems a little better today though.

Actually, although activity on the site is less than it was years ago, it's still been quite active up until the past year when users started to drop off because of all the trolls, CM not working, and no way to appeal violations. CM is up and down, there is a way to appeal violations now, but with the recent inundation of spam bots, it makes sense a lot of people would step away from YA for a while until it gets cleaned up (if it does). I'm sure plenty of folks will return IF the spam bot issue is dealt with before those people who are taking a break, find some other place they prefer to play online.

Yes. It's got to the point where at least forty percent of the new questions in the main feed are Chinese spam. And it seems to be getting worse day by day. If the trend continues, we may reach point where more than half of the questions are spam. By default, they tend to end up in obscure travel subcategories. So that's a good thing. At least they aren't polluting the more commonly used sections like R&S, Politics, and P&S.
