There always have been and always will be people who think they are better in some way than others. Religious think they are better in the eyes of God than nonbelievers. Non believers think they are over zealous and nuts. People of different skin colors can, and some do, think they are better than those of different shades. Those who are smart might look down on those who aren't and so on. Then you always have those who hate anyone who doesn't think like they do. I think hate is the common denominator in some degree of all the haters of difference. If not hate, a real dislike is occurring. I wouldn't call it all racism. That has only to do with race.

Yes that is racism. To hate someone who has wronged you is not right. But to hate an entire ethnic group who has done you no wrong is sick,such person seriously needs to seek help. If a white person hates all white people just because they are white people they are sick. There are good people and bad people in every ethnic group, we should love them all, at least don't hate any people, you may hate their ways. Hate the sin not the sinner...

Can a white be prejudice against whites, or a person of color against other people of color? Sure if you are raised to think of certain types of people as bad and you are mostly around and sympathetic to a different type of people that your birth origins you could be prejudice against your birth group

Yes, someone can hate their own race, because they hate themselves first - it is self-hatred turned on others:

In terms of it being racism, I think you could call it that, because they are discriminating on the basis of race.

Most people who hate members of their own race hate them for reasons other than race. An example would be a white person thinking someone else was "white trash". It's the "trash" they usually object to, not the "white".
