Can our eyes see objects moving across the sky at the speed of light? if it was possible like a UFO?

I can sometimes see a direction when the streetlights come on, if I happen to be looking down the street.

Sometimes they seem to be lighting coming toward me, and sometimes they seem to be lighting going away from me.

I have no clue where the source of the electricity is, so I can't verify a direction.

I saw something go across the dark sky once, long ago. It was a streak that travelled extremely fast.

No, you could not see the fast-moving object. It would pass in a pico second. Your eyes can't respond fast enough. It would not even appear as a streak if it passed sideways. Approaching any light reflected would be blue shifted well beyond the visible spectrum. Retreating. any reflected light would be red shifted to zero

As is a solid object, at light speed there would be no chance for us seeing it with our own eyes.

Even distortion field generated by their warp drive would also travel at light speed.

No object can move at the speed of light. If it moved near the speed of light and it emitted or reflected light, you could see it but the light would be blue shifted if it was coming toward you or red shifted if it was going away from you.

Well, light moves at the speed of light, and you can see it, can't you?

Well, no *object* can move the speed of light. So... no.

The only thing that moves that fast is light itself - and, if it's traveling across the sky - we wouldn't be able to see it.

The only way we *can* see things is if they generate their own light, or reflect light from somewhere else. When we see a satellite moving across the sky, it's the light reflected from the sun off the satellite that we see, for example.

you can see light, you know how fast that is, so yes you can see it, if the light is right an nothing is in the way cant keep track of it for very long but yes you can

I don’t think solid objects can move that fast, even in space with no gravity.. That is physically impossible. You would have to bend the rules of physics to make that happen. So unless Aliens can literally just say “f*ck yo rules science!” then a UFO does not move that fast. And that’s IF they are real.
