Why isn’t the electric chair considered cruel and unusual punishment?

    It is in some states, but Texas just can't give up the chair.

    A few states have it, but it is not mandatory - lethal injection is an option in those state.

    The last person to choose the electric chair was Robert Gleason, Jr. in 2013 in Virginia.

    Goodness only knows. Ask the Supreme Court why they ruled it isn't.
