"pi" is the name of the Greek letter π (equivalent to our letter p)
"pie" is the name of a dessert category (often cooked fruits between two layers of flaky pastry) that includes one cake (Boston Cream Pie belongs to the cake family).
If you meant √π, then others have already given the answer. It is a number which, when multiplied by itself, produces the value of π (which started life as the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter).
√π (like π) is not a rational number, because you cannot express its value as the ratio of two integers. Therefore, it is called "irrational" (which simply means: cannot be written as a ratio).
Also, the value √π (like π) cannot be written as a finite "algebraic" quantity.
For example, the number √2 is an irrational number; however, it CAN be represented by the algebraic expression x^2 = 2
π (and √π) cannot be expressed as finite algebraic expressions, they are, therefore, called "transcendental" numbers.
The beginning of the decimal (= base 10) representation of √π is
1.7724538... and it goes on forever.
Worst, there is no recipe to find the next number (there does not appear to be a pattern). Even if someone gave me the first 100 numbers, they would be of no help in finding the 101st.

Apple. It's pi, by the way. Pie is something you eat.
