Question about “The Office”?

In the season 4 episode “Money”, Andy tries to impress Angela by giving her a new cat that he found in the warehouse. She accepts the gift (she later names the cat Bandit) and agrees to go out to dinner with Andy. The question is: just one episode earlier, Dwight had tried to give her a cat he found outside by the dumpster (he had named it Garbage), and she angrily refused the gift saying it reminded her too much of Sprinkles, the cat Dwight had killed a few episodes earlier. Why did she refuse Dwight’s new cat but accept Andy’s new cat? (There’s a theory I read that it’s actually the same cat, since at the end of the earlier episode, Dwight released his cat somewhere in the Dunder Mifflin building, and the next episode Andy found a cat in the warehouse)
