Is it worth trying in school?

Yes, absolutely. Your education is your future. If you don't finish high school, get used to working for minimum wage the rest of your life. If you get poor grades, you can kiss most good careers goodbye as they require post-secondary education or at very least - some sort of training program and bad grades will keep you from all of that. Yes, there are very successful people out there who dropped out of high school but those are anomalies - not the norm. The better you do in school, the more options you have. If you are a guy - you should be trying to get the highest grades you can so you can get in to med school. If you are a doctor, not only will you have money coming out of your ears, every woman will want to date you. It's literally the best job a man can have. That's why it's worth trying in school!
