I think I might be a medium. Can someone help me with a few things?

No one is actually a medium. Such abilities do not exist.

Spirits are always ready to communicate with the people but you cannot trust them. Dealing with the spirits is not good for life. If you start then you have to sacrifice your entire life for them. If you stop then you may face some problems. No one lives in any form after death. The spirit you contact may be one of the spirits which lived with a person (who is dead now) or a liar. One of the spirits which lived with a person cannot give you full information. It can give you an information only about a particular subject. Generally disappointed spirits roam on this earth for certain period. Only these spirits are available. Remember one more thing, a human being doesn't have a spiritual body. But spirits can create images. They are just illusory, not real.

God cannot watch each and every human being at the same time and cannot live with each and everyone to guide them. That's why He had created different kinds of spirits for various purposes. He had made the spirits to watch, guide and determine the destiny of the human beings from their daily activities, talks and thoughts too. Your past determines your present and your present determines your future. God has given freewill to all creatures including human beings. According to this, all human beings have all right to live a life as they wish. But if it happens to be bad and hurts someone, they have to face the consequences. These consequences are created by spirits. It's a natural system. After death no one lives in any form. Heaven and hell are only for spirits, not for human beings. Spirits are separate elements. A human being is not a single spirit. A human being during his/her life time is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. They are knowledge, skills, feelings, emotions, interests and everything. Even thoughts are not your own. For example, when you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another the spirits think and you just listen, choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. Brain is just a media to connect the spirits to your mind. A mind is just a computer's mind. After the destruction of a computer completely you will not get it's mind. The same is the case with the human beings. Soul is nothing but an energy needed for the functionality of a body. It is not a spirit or anything else. All human beings are just robots made of flesh and bones and toys of the spirits for their games.

Mediums and psychics do not actually exist. People who claim to be such things are amateur frauds.

maybe you are not a medium but a large or a petite. or maybe an extra large?

There are no mediums - just con artists and deluded people.

If you are trying to figure yourself out study The Tao or take meditation classes.

You are not a medium anymore than I am a Jedi. Mediums, psychics, fortune-tellers, etc are utter frauds. They have no "powers", no "magic". No claim of psychic ability is real.

If such ability was real they'd all be millionaires.

If they were real and not making money, then they’d be doing the whole help the police out and solve crimes shtick.

It’s simple guesswork, coupled with a good healthy dose of criminal pathology that sometimes pans out – more often than not, in fact far more often, such “psychics” miss their guesses completely. What they do use is a psychological skill called "cold reading" where they use clues they observe about you from verbal and nonverbal hints like clothing, colors worn, state of personal hygiene, facial expressions, nervous habits, stutters, speech patterns, body posture, general relaxation, sudden movements, etc. etc. etc. and things you tell them, both direct answers and answers you provide by what you don't say. A skilled cold reader can make this skill look like paranormal ability to the uninitiated, the gullible, and the desperate.

Look at the famous “psychic” Sylvia Brown for examples of how badly they fail at their con when they start believing their own hype.

Mediums: Humans cannot "speak" with the dead. When you are dead there is no thought, no awareness, no sentience - nothing. The memory cells of the brain die, decay, and break down to their elemental components. The memories stored biochemically in those cells break down and are irrevocably lost. Personality, intelligence, and sentience are a function of the bioelectrical connections via the neural pathways between the brain cells - once those pathways degrade and decay there is no personality, no intelligence, no "soul".

We know this by the evidence of victims of traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer's - damage to the brain causes a loss of memory and even function. Alzheimer's causes synaptic and neural degradation that results in memory loss and regression. This results in personality changes that can be extremely severe. If the personality was not integral to the brain, then brain injury would not change the "soul" one iota. The "soul" is simply the sum total of all of our unique experiences and is not separate from our bodies.

People are not "born" with a non-existent ability to speak to the dead - there is no genetic inheritance, no gene, that gives people imaginary powers. People that claim to speak to the dead are either running an elaborate scam (John Edwards' show Crossing Over is a prime example of this) or are so caught up in the delusion (possibly taught to them by a parent who was also caught up in the delusion) since childhood that they will ignore and dispense with any logical or scientific evidence or knowledge to the contrary - a willful ignorance called cognitive dissonance.

Be very cautious when looking to a "medium" for help, especially if they want money. Demons can give power as well and you may be steered in the wrong direction. Here is a link to a free online course to help you get going.

On Youtube, look up Alan Watts, if he doesn't float your boat then look to the suggestions on the right hand column as it isn't for you, or at least not at this time. You have spirit guides who are there willing to help you. If something doesn't soothe your spirit that is your guides telling you to move on. You will feel it when it is right. Set it in your mind to always do good this will show your guides that you are willing to grow.
