I think I should be Italian for the health benefits. Also I think the accent is cool. Can I choose to become Italian?

You can become Italian if you fill the requirements for Italian citizenship and apply for it.

No, it is not a choice. You need to be born in Italy, spend at least 5 years in the country or have Italian relatives to apply for the citizenship. Without that, you can't claim to be Italian. There are no health benefits and becoming one won't make your life easier nor more successful.

You can act more Italian and eat Italian food, and wear clothes with Italian vibes. You cannot actually become Italian though if your parents are not Italian. If your ancestry is not from there then you are not Italian ethnically speaking
