App is the abbreviation of application
Software is the term that computer users (PC, Mac and others) used to designate programs made for operating the computers.
The problem now is that once Microsoft and Samsung engaged in a battle to turn mobile phones and PCs into technological siblings, Microsoft is adding troubles to its long list by making the App segment of its OS to conflict all the time with your existing PC software that we will have to call app in the future.
With the App world I meant the Mobile Phone world, although in the end it's the same because they are making the OS looks like a incipient program made for phones against the traditional trend that had been to make them fail-proof, prolific and visually styled.

As a PC user I find it really annoying that I'm being forced to use apps designed for mobile phones. My entire computing experience has been getting worse and worse over the past few years when it could have and should have gotten better. And it's all because of lazy and impatient people who crave "convenience" (which is generally a lie) and greedy corporations willing to take advantage of these people. Meanwhile those of us who prefer to use PCs get screwed.
