What is the average GM 2.2 Ecotch head shop service, burnt #3 exhaust vales.?
I got the car dirt cheap so $500 is no big deal. The head has press in valve seats and I'm guessing $250-300 for the shop service.
End of deal head total was $425 for a factory head rebuild, all 8 ex valve guides and the 2 #3 burnt ex valves.

The first part you can get quoted from the shop you are using: it is the same as a head gasket replacement, about $1000 - $1300 in my area according to repairpal. The second part, fixing the valves, is a question for the cylinder head shop you take it to. It can be approached a few different ways.
According to the video burned valves are a problem with the ecotec head - it says the valve stops rotating and that leads to the trouble. If so, use of conventional oil, rather than synthetic oil, is probably a big factor.

Expect upwards of $1000. Put a new OEM gasket. The #3 piston might be damaged too and the engine very likely have more issues. And your $500 "investment" will not be dirt cheap anymore. Never buy a car that does not run. Good luck.
