    No, it will go down as something finally done about health ins. companies denying people with preexisting conditions & lifetime caps on how much an insurance could spend before being dropped in the middle of battling cancer or some other life threatening disease. It could have been made better, and he wanted to make it better, but the Republicans didn't want that. So this was the best that could be done. Now the Republicans are doing every thing they can to destroy it. They never wanted medicare either; they don't want good healthcare for Americans. They would rather people just not get sick & if they do just curl up and die.

    I wouldnt say the public didnt want affordable coverage but Obama allowed the insurance industry to take over the whole scheme and thats why it is not affordable for most states other than those with big populations that spread the risk and can offer lower premiums and deductibles.

    Obamacare has been a success and greatly reduced our deficit too. Prepare for it to skyrocket if Trump gets rid of Obamacare.
