If you want it, and you don't get too exhausted, you can try it and see how it goes

I read your post differently to the others.
The 40 hour work week is basic.
My States Union Employees have a 32 Hour Work Week.
When I worked in the Hotel Industry, we had a 48 hour week, Because we were considered "Servants" (aka "in service") by the state legislature.
Moving the Work week back to 60 hours would be throwing away the gains of the "Unions" for the past 60 years.

You wouldn't be making overtime if the standard work week was raised to 60 hours.
You can get a 2nd job and make the additional 20 hours but there would be no OT.

If you can make a lot of money working overtime, it seems that you'd want it to remain at 40. Of course most of the people who work 60 plus hour weeks are on salary, and don't get overtime.
