Why do So Many People Consider Rap or Hip Hop "Music"? It Is NOT Music. Talking to Tunes is NOT Music - It IS CRAP !! Learn to Really Sing!?

Oh I’m sorry. You never grew up poor and you don’t understand the struggle rap talks about. Maybe if you actually hung out in poor areas and tried making some black and Latin friends you’d give it a try.

Its a kind of music. Its vocal emphasis is different than the music you refer to.

But, it is music.

Try listening to some good rap for a change like Common, The Roots, Hopsin, Token, Rittz, Lupe Fiasco and Chris Webby instead of that cardi b, drake, lil uzi vert, 6ix9ine, lil pump crap you hear on the radio and you'll know

It takes talent and skill to come up with good rap lyrics, you're just probably listening to talentless stripper hoes and rappers who don't even write their own lyrics.

Because you do not understand the genre as a whole.A lot of these people hear the stuff that is not all that great and judge the genre as a whole.

In some cases people think talking over beats is just talking even though they are Rapping.

We find it music but some of you just think it is talking over beats.

There are many reasons but this is just a couple of them.

I hate those type of answers of my questions.I feel if they are going to say that kind of stuff then why bother even answering.

Try to understand it before you judge it as a whole.

It is music just like Jazz,Blues,Country,Techno ETC.

Well... Lee. Some people find it therapeutic as all Rap/Hip Hop on the radio goes along with background music.

Rap/Hip Hop is as much of a genre as Rock, Classical, Country or any other genre. It's also a spin off sub-genre of Disco. And a form of poetry like songs/music in other genres.

Stop hating. Don't listen to it.
