Military Girlfriends, WIves ad active Military men or women that are or have served. What should I expect in the beginning?
So my boyfriend and I have been together for about 2 years now. He enlisted in the military last summer and leaves in a month. I am only 17 and he is 19 and since we are so young I am unsure of what to expect or how to keep myself in a healthy place as well. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!!

I'm retired army.
My advice to you, at 17 and 19, is to remain friends/connected, but don't try to remain exclusive. See other people. You're both still very young and the chances of your relationship lasting are slim. Be realistic, save each other the drama and heartache. Stay in touch and when you're older, if you still have strong feelings for him, perhaps you'll come back together.
