Do you ever get so sick of the cruelty and violence that we humans do,that it sucks the happiness and joy out of your life?

Several years ago, I went to a third world country to volunteer at a shelter for homeless girls - I was not at all sure what I was getting myself into, and I was afraid of what I might experience and see... and it was sad at times, BUT each day I got up and thought of what I could do to be a light in a dark place, each day I found a way to try and make a difference in the lives of others. Each day I CHOSE to think positive and be positive.. truth is, we can't 'save the world' but if we don't give into depression, sadness, despair, we CAN make a huge difference in the life of others, one person at a time.. CHOOSE to be the change you want to see in the world, and you will feel better, while helping others feel better.
