Questions regarding Holiday Pay?

Hello let’s say I my salary is $60,000 a year and I take home about $1,600 bi weekly no matter what.. how is holiday pay computted on my pay?

1) $1600 + holiday pay.

2) $1600 Only (that includes holiday pay)

It seems like I was paid my salary plus holiday for Fourth Of July but I was paid only my base salary for Labor Day.

Please advise.

As a general rule, when companies pay for holidays, then the pay is the same, since you (don't) work on the holiday, thus paid for 5 days even though you only worked 4 days due to the holiday.

But, that can depend on the company or the work you do. So, say you work retail, thus the store is open on the holiday, thus if you work that day (might) get paid an (extra) day for working the holiday. But even with a lot of retail stores, can work the holiday, but only work once again 4 days vs the normal 5, thus paid the same.
