Has Yahoo decided to stop repairing the bugs on this site? This problem, where questions of medium age will not show up, is not new!!?

They are not interested as the site isn't profitable, so the employ idiots who haven't a clue what they are doing.

    Complicated.

That particular nuisance has been going on for many years, on and off. I have always supposed it was deliberate instead of a bug, for the purpose of discouraging flame wars in the Religion & Spirituality, Politics, and Beauty & Style categories. I can't say how effective it is, since I don't cruise there. I certainly wish the lacuna would go away in the Science & Mathematics category where we (up til now at least) don't have those troubles, except maybe in Alternative.

I would prefer to answer questions several hours old that others have not answered, but as things are now I must focus on the very top of the list as everyone else does, or answer three-day-old questions which usually go unanswered because they are unintelligible.

Not new, but they have fixed it several times in the past. Like most programming, you fix one bug, you create another. Be patient as they try to fix the site.

They only seem to repair the least annoying bugs, but will not fix the most annoying ones, I've noticed.

For example: they have fixed the layout of the site page, I mean, who gives a crap about that when compared to the rest of the bugs?

Oath is in the process of hiring people to handle the programming side of the site. There have been changes and maintenance in recent weeks including the blocking of the Asian language spam-bots, the return of the category list on the left pane, and suspending a number of spam and troll accounts.

Patience. Oath inherited all the problems that YA has, so they need people who can figure out the programming and fix it.
