Why doesn't a Supreme Court Justice EVER run for President?

Just saying, it seems to me that if a Supreme Court Justice ran for President and won, law makers might hesitate before attempting to slide through slip-shoddly written laws that can't possibly hold up to constitutional standards.

You mean Justice Charles Evans Hughes.

Congress often creates laws, then "throws them at the wall to see what sticks". The Supreme Court does not review every law, it May Only act on those laws that have worked up through the lower courts.

There are many Unconstitutional Laws on the Books, because they have not been "Challenged" in court.

Supreme Court Justices are SUPPOSED to be political Neutral.

[*] Justice Charles Evans Hughes resigned from the Supreme Court on June 10, 1916, to be the Republican candidate for President in 1916. He is the last sitting Supreme Court justice to surrender his or her seat to run for elected office

He was Reappointed to the court in 1930.

  • Once a Supreme Court Justice is appointed, that position is for life.

Apparently it doesn't work that way. But this administration has broken all the rules and has rewritten the constitution. Changed the laws of the land all for Russia. He works for them I don't care what anybody say. I have serious discernment God gave me and I am telling you this man is not of America.

Once you're a Supreme Court Justice, you have that job for the rest of your life, and it's probably pretty cushy all things considered. Why would anyone give that up for 4 to 8 years of absolute hell?
