Help I'm scared of chickens?

Relax completely, try to briefly expose yourself to chicks, then increase the exposure level slowly to see that nothing happens

then dont go near them

Chickens are one of the dumbest animals ever, I have had chickens my whole life and hey have never hurt me. The worst thing they have ever done is peck my hand when I am getting eggs out from under them, I promise, they will not hurt you

Avoid 'em then. Alive. Eat 'em if dead!!! They are just birds - maybe bigger than the average wild bird, but still just birds. Stoopid.

Do you come into contact with chickens regularly? If not, it doesn't really matter that you're afraid of them. If on the other hand, you are afraid of all chickens, whether alive or dead, then I can imagine a trip to the supermarket/grocery store must be fairly traumatic.

There's lots of material on overcoming fears but I suppose it all depends on the level of impact on your life. If you can 99% get through without issues, don't worry too much but if it's debilitating, I would suggest seeking medical assistance to see if there's counselling etc available.

Chickens are too stupid to be of any danger.
