I'm an aspiring screenwriter about to begin an MA in September.  In the meantime, I have some prose stories which are in kind of a soap opera style (think things like Sunset Beach), they're good fun, full of twists and turns etc.

The question is this:

Once I turn these episodes into short scripts, how might an amateur best go about the process?

Whatever I do, I'd need to learn it from scratch and with next to no budget.

Animation?  What software is there which you recommend?

Voice?�� Is there software which gives me different voices for free to read my dialogue?

I can't decide what I want the videos to look like - live action is problematic as I don't have any actors!  Suggestions most welcome.

Specifically, I have a picture of someone look out of a window and a new image I wish them to be looking at through the window. I want to put this new image into the window panes so it looks like this person is seeing that instead of what s actually there.

So there is a house which is an absolute tip. Things have been left for years so there's a whole load of crap everywhere.

What I'm after is someone to come in and sort through it all whilst being able to pick out (with help) the things which need to be kept.

I've found some services for the cleaning side which will need to happen after. I've also found places to remove the goods once you've sorted them...

It's a job too big for me and other than pointing out what's to be kept, I don't want to be involved in the work of the de-clutter.

Can anyone help by telling me what a service like this is called? I know it exists!

I want to write something like a blog but "blog" might not be the right term. What I seek is a place that is free and allows me to embed my videos and pictures into the relevant text.

Tumblr was suggested to me but this is microblogging and ideally, I want somewhere where you can write a long piece that just happens to be accompanied by pictures and videos.

Does such a place exist?

I will be driving and all of a sudden, the dials will go off - so fuel gauge, revs, water temperature and speed. The car sounds fine, the fan still registers when it needs to cool things down and she runs normally otherwise.

If I switch her off while the dials are off, then she won't start for 24 hours - the only lights to come up on second click are engine management and oil, rather than all of them as usual.

I have had her checked out by a roadside mechanic and in at my mechanics twice. They've tried diagnosing the problem but usually, she's working again by the time the mechanic looks at her.

I already know that it was an abusive ex that was doing something to her before as I had this problem a year ago but whatever wire he was fiddling with must have worked itself loose again.

This was happening regularly before (in short, every time he had access to the car) but then in the year we've been apart, I've had no problems until now.

Everything external to the dash works properly, even though I can't see it internally, as I've tested indicators and such.

Any ideas please?

I had a laptop a long time ago that had wine spilled on it and it turned itself off (obviously), i recently was told i could get the hard drive out of it and hook it up to my PC (which was also on XP) and then retrieve the files.

I opened up the PC but the connecting wires didn't fit this hard drive.

I am not a technofobe but neither am I qualified in anything IT related. I would be grateful if anyone could give me a step by step, easy to follow (for those who know nothing about computers) guide on how to get the files.

Do I need a peice of hardware to connect the old motherboard to a new laptop? Can I do it from that to my new Windows 7 laptop?

It was then suggested to me that I get an ATA to USB but when I looked online, I found references to SATA's and PATA's. Is one of these okay? Are they the same?

I was told recently about a boardgame that had a deck of cards, board and dice in it and the cards had a range of personal questions on them.

These questions were about anything from family relations to whether you'd tried various things sexually. It sounded like an excellent game to get to know a new partner (and even one you've been with for a while).

They think the game was around 1984 if that helps and though there have been others since, apparently the range of questions is more limited (either to the sexual in novelty shops or to favourite colours and the like in "normal" shops).

Anyone with any idea what this game was, please post (with a link if possible). Thank you very much!

From what I recall, it was a part animation video for the song, I think it might have been Limp Bizkit or someone similar.

There was a bullet pursuing the person but it was moving in slow motion throughout the song. I can't remember the climax. Hope you can help out!

I know that you can change your display name every 28 days but I remember reading something, somewhere that said after a certain time your original username will become available to other players.

Does anyone know how long this is and how long I can safely change my display name before losing the username?

I have an Advent Laptop with Windows 7 on it. In previous versions of Windows, I was able to right click on the taskbar, move up to toolbars, and choose WMP as an option.

This would turn WMP into a little toolbar that had play, forward, back, pause, sound control etc on it instead of just a rectangle saying "Windows Media Player" on it. Then, whenever a new song played, a little sliding window would pop out of the WMP toolbar and tell me what it was, who it was by etc - the same would happen when I hovered over it.

Anyway, now-a-days, the closest thing I can get to that is to open WMP and click on "switch to now playing" which doesn't make it into a toolbar but does mean if i keep my mouse on the rectangle on the toolbar for long enough that song information will appear in a java bubble above it.

There has to be a better way! I miss being able to see everything without having to click or keep my mouse on it... If anyone can help, that'd be great.

I recently started courses with the Open University with the idea that one day I could become a qualified Psychologist, however, the more I look into it, the more I wonder how on earth you get there.

Assume I have the appropriate GCSE's... Where do I go from there?

I believe its Undergraduate study for an Honous Degree in Psychology but from there I become a bit confused. I want to be accredited by the appropriate body in the UK but some of the courses are not recognised by them when done through the OU.

Any help anyone can provide - especially if you have a knowledge of the OU and could tell me some course numbers - would be great!

It was on a few years ago and it said that there was an annual get together for tall people somewhere in the Lake District (I vaguely recall), it sounded really great and though I've looked for it on and off since, I've not been able to find anything.

Even if there's any tall people who WANT there to be such a group, please answer this question too!

I'm 6'2" and have been since about 14 ish (and female) so it'd be really nice to be surrounded with people that I can look in the eye without getting a crick in my neck ;)

I am 27 years old and therefore more than eligible to see adult content/purchase adult clothing etc in the stores, however, I am new to the game and cant seem to find the option to change this.
