The stuff that prevents your stomach from digesting itself. Also known as mucus.

"Snot" is one of the mucuses that naturally occur in the human body. Along with other mucuses, it's job is to protect your body from infections and foreign compounds. In other words, when you sneez, your nose is expelling dusts and pollens accumulated in the mucus which naturally occurs in your nose.
Tell your nephew this: Snot is like a thin blanket which protects his body from infections, and is important for his immune sytem (or health if he doesn't understand that!)
Also tell him not to pick his nose but to blow!

A sticky body fluid that serves to catch all the dirt , pollen, and air pollutants we inhale. You might add if there's any animal feces anywhere; as it dries and crumbles into powder, the dust floats into the air and is breathed in.

Its mucus but i say the Bogeys are the dry ones and Snots are wet .....ewwwie
