I have to replace the alternator 2001 Ford Escape 3.0 Duratec with 99,000 miles. Should I change the water pump while it's apart?

    if it makes it readily accessible that would be a very smart move .. dont know the model but if theres an idler gear those have a habit of going out on alot of vehicles to so pick one of those up to ..
