    Honestly the only time they ever really sounded like typical Heavy Metal(fast tempo/instruments equal or louder than vocals) was on their last album Infestation. But the rest were Hair Metal/Hard Rock.

    Aishah B: Hi. Ratt are primarily an 80's "Hair Metal" band. That means they played hard rock but they were gussied up at times from a wardrobe and hairdo perspective.
