How do you make someone less selfish and lazy of they are an authority figure?

I could not do it alone.

It's up to them. But you, as a leader, can do little things that might inspire or encourage it. Call them out a bit on some things. Make moves they must keep up with or choose not to go along anymore. If you're a leader too, you'll know what I mean, and it's not manipulation or being awful to others. It's going above and beyond, calling out what is good and just not rewarding the bad.

Look at them.

Teach the republican to be a Liberal :)
