Am I seriously ill?

I've been to doctors and I'm getting blood tests done in a few days but this is constantly on my mind and it's making me anxious.

For as long as I can remember I have had really sweaty clammy hands and recently I've been experiencing hot flushes and my periods have become shorter so instead of a week they are 3 days long.

I am 17 am doing not a usual,y anxious person and this is really bothering me.

Any reassurance would be great

There are many things that can result in the symptoms you describe; here are a few to consider:

    Are you underweight?

    Are you overweight?

    Do you smoke?

    Are you African-American?

    Are you taking any medications?

Do you drink alcohol or use recreational drugs?

Are your heart flashes ever accompanied by a racing heartbeat?

Do you drink coffee or other caffeinated beverages?

Have you checked to make sure you're not running a fever when you have symptoms?

Have you been tested for diabetes (YOU MAY HAVE TO ASK FOR THIS)?

Have the doctors checked your blood pressure and your thyroid functioning?

Have you been evaluated for anxiety disorder/panic disorder?

Make another doctor appointment, preferably with an "internist" - look for a doc in "internal Medicine" -- and discuss each of these potential factors. Your doctor will undoubtedly consider additional causes also.
