so if your framed for murder escape and prove your innocence are you punished for escaping?

    You can be, but can be chosen to not be prosecuted on the crime of escape too "in the interest of justice". It usually depends on the circumstances and what other laws that were broken in the escape. For example assaulting a guard to escape would still be prosecuted.
