Do you think there should be age restrictions on social media?

Well, the on;y way they could regulate it even slightly would be if everybody running a system with a specific net-nanny type software (The social media sites COULD create a software for it themselves too) were to notify social media websites that the user is underage, and from there it's as easy as setting up a special permissions group on their servers that sets things like "maximum login time per day", "access restrictions by page areas / ratings", or even purchasing limitations.
It's entirely ridiculous how simple it would be to implement this in some form even as a test, & save prob'ly thousands of minors from many problems simply by having the adults install 1 piece of software, even if it doesn't save all the minors.
But minors do most of the buying, and the longer they're online with the sites the more ads they see.

Anyone can fake ages and open up a social media account so it's not a biggie...
