Does anyone else here think that the movie Coraline is just Stephen King's IT for kids?

I mean, really, it's a story about an alien spiderlike creature that lures kids into it's hovel to eat them.

Based upon that, IT is nothing more than a rip-off of HP Lovecraft. The bottom line is that both King and Gaiman, along with most modern horror writers, have been inspired by Lovecraft's work.

I'm a big fan of SUPERNATURAL and enjoy Grimm, X-Files, and a bunch of other Sci-fi/fantasy horror shows, but Coraline was too weirdly creepy for me.
