Pros - you can do what you want and don't have to worry about other people's preferences, you can go at your own pace and not have to worry about someone else moving too fast or too slow for you
Cons - you might get lonely, you might get bored waiting in line by yourself, it can be fun to share those experiences with someone else

Do it all the time. Pros - not aware of any. Cons - if long line, no one to talk to. What are your concerns??
