Connected piano to reciever?

A piano I'm thinking about getting has a 1/4 inch headphone jack. Now could I use a single 1/4 cable that splits into a L/R and connect that to my receiver, would that work fine for transferring the sound of the piano to my sound system?

piano ought to have a headphone audio out, a 1/4,1/8 stereo plug, get an 8 ft or 6 ft RCA cable, plug rca rt & lt into reciever aux in tape in

    That will work well.

Use any line input (CD, tape play, aux, TV, etc.).

Adjust the volume on the piano to a low level at first

and increase it slowly until it is adequate.

Yes, you can connect the headphone jack to Line In inputs. You might have to adjust the volume on the piano, but it will work fine.
