I have concluded that it is necessary to lie to oneself, because life is too hard, and society is too demanding. Thoughts?

I am honest with myself and have a positive outlook. I see or find the good in the bad.

As for society being demanding, that is on you for trying to live what others expect.

Sometimes I choose to do the bare minimum to be somewhat acceptable. But most times I am not acceptable. I am one of those weird people and happy about it because I'm free.

I am a happy person living a happy life.

I dont lie to my self , I just escape to my happy place deep in my brain.

Rule one. NEVER lie to yourself, or one day you will wake up not knowing what is true and what is fiction!

You always need to know which is which for the sake of your sanity!

Agreed. If people are too honest with themselves, life becomes too daunting.
