What is your opinion on the controversial Diablo mobile game: Diablo Immortal?

Considering the biggest complaint most people had/have with Diablo 3 was that it was too simplified, I'm baffled at how dumbing it down even more seems like a good idea. It's very obvious that this is a chasing the market move (Activison/Blizzard wants that sweet mobage money) and not one geared towards fans of the franchise or the core of blizzard's fanbase. I may DL it to give it a chance, but I'm not excited for it at all and I expect to not really like it.

That said, the part that really angered people, I think, wasn't the game itself, but how the announcement was handled. Debuting it at a PAID event for your diehardest core fans, that again, paid money to be there, and then being super snarky to the level of "Deal with it" about "what, you guys don't have phones? You can play on a tablet too" was just.. no. Had it been just revealed via an announce trailer on youtube or at one of the gaming sites I think it'd have been less of a disaster.
