Basically withholding information from an individua(s). Refusing to disclose information. Keeping someone in the dark about something they should perhaps know or could benefit from if they knew. Which may be a reason to do so. A con is that it could easily create trust issues from the one the information is being kept from and the secret keeper. If the information is all or mostly negative, perhaps it's best the one it's being kept from is better off not knowing, a potential pro.
