when someone is having delusions and thinks their own family is trying to hurt them what should I do? Take them to a phycristist?

    The thing is, you don't really know if they are right or wrong. Act as if it's true, and observe everybody in the family a lot. There are things that happen when we are not looking.

    They have mental health issues and need to see their doctor and get medicated
