Most people buy trees from garden centers and plant nurseries.

Trees are generally sold when they are one or two years old - and when they are in their normant season (ie winter - now in the USA).

That way they get established easily, and are not so big as to be difficult to move.

Prices for trees vary from about $10 to $20

Though prices for unusual varieties of trees can go higher.
