Why are people so downright cruel?

have never met some one who has not done or at least tried to do an act of kindness...

not everyone has the luxury of realizing their well being is caught up in the well being of their fellow humans...

Cruelty flows out of the fact each individual is ultimately on his own. So everyone see,s best for themselves regardless of consequences to others. It seems uplifting to say cruelty is based on ones own insecurities, it is also partly true.

But fact is it is equally true cruelty is based on strength and what you can get away with. However in both cases one is looking to enhance Ines statues compared to others.
