The sun roof on my 2010 VW Jetta doesn't fully close?
The front side tilts down into the recess as as normal, but the back edge sometimes doesn't. I have to fiddle with it a lot before it eventually pops down and seals closed.

If you remove the trim behind the witch then you will see the motor and you and the trim will contain an allen wrench that you can use to manually rotate the motor. It goes directly into the center of the or spindle of the motor and then you turn it. That may help you determine if it is just sticking or if the switch has failed. I don't remember this specific year but you turn it to the open position for half open and hold it there to open all the way.if memory serves. Possibilities are the switch the track or just sticking and for safety they do not allow the roof to close on people's hand etc...
