The closest thing you will ever find to a winning strategy of slots, is to write a book claiming that you have a winning strategy on slots. You may be able to find a few people gullible enough to buy it.

No, but there are things you can do help your chances.
The first, and most obvious, is to leave a machine while you are ahead. If you always keep playing while you are ahead you will always leave behind. If you think you have a hot machine it is natural to want to keep playing it. One rule you can try is set a loss limit. For example, if you put a $100 bill into a machine and get it up to $500 in credits leave while you still have at least $400 in credits on the machine,
A second thing you can do is always play the maximum credits on a machine. Many, but not all, machines put additional "good: symbols on the reals if you play the maximum. Of course, doing this increase the rate at which you will lose money it you do not get some good wins.
Avoid machines with huge jackpots. You are so unlikely to hit a huge jackpot that they are not worth it. However, a small amount of each bet goes into building up cash to pay the lucky person that hits it, making you less likely to have enough smaller wins to come out ahead.

It's pure luck, there is no strategy.

In general, no. Just dumb luck.
Some progressive slots could theoretically be beaten if you knew how high the jackpot needed to be and waited until it reached that level. However, the outcome probabilities for modern machines are inaccessible to the public (they can't be calculated), and without that inside info it's impossible to know when (if ever) to start playing.
Some old machines have flawed RNG's, but to exploit them requires computer assistance. People have been caught doing just that - they'd have a cellphone camera looking through their shirt pocket and streaming the video to a team member at home on their computer, who would then analyze the pattern and tell the player when to hit the spin button. Clever operation, but they still managed to get caught.
Long story short, if you're trying to profit from gambling, look elsewhere from slots.

If there is a strategy the casino will consider it cheating and try to prevent it to the best of their ability anyway, they’re pretty vigilant when it comes to that stuff. But if you want to risk it I would say sticking around keeping an eye on how long the slot machine is being used and take the one that was used the most. It’s believed that the more one has been used the closer it gets to a win. Good luck

Over a long period of time, most slot machines pay out 50% of what they take in. The best winning strategy is to own the machine. The second best is to leave them alone.

It's pure luck and the machines are literally rigged to guarantee a payout for the casinos. But don't try telling the people who use them. They all have their "strategies" and habits and will swear to you that it makes a difference, but it really doesn't. Line up and empty your pockets. You'll get some nice coloured lights and buzzers and bells for your efforts, but that's about it.

It’s purely random, there is no strategy.
