She said maybe to a date in may. Should I ask her again?

For a couple of months I was dropping a girl home from work and one day in may I asked her out and she froze got nervous and said maybe.

I took it as a rejection and the next day I didn’t mention it to her again. Things got slightly awkward for a few weeks and I didn’t interact with her as much as I used to. The banter reduced and one day I saw her walking out from work I asked her whether she wanted a lift home and she said no she was fine. So I left it at that and i didn’t ever ask her again.

A couple of months went by and one day in August she saw me and asked how I had been and what I was up too. Slowly everything became normal again the banter increased and we started talking to each other on the regular.

But recently I’ve noticed she started to talk to me differently (softly, childish, babyish) and is excited to be around me.

Thursday, I walked into the canteen and the colleague she was with whispered to her ‘oh here’s your favourite person. When she saw me she said something loud like she was trying to overpower the whisper and panicked to what I just heard. I pretended I never heard anything and walked off.

Friday I was talking to another girl, she came up and stood beside me. She started checking out the girl and got extremely jealous.

This week I’ve spent a lot of time around her and I mentioned twice ‘ you’re probably sick and tired of me being around you to which she replied really fast with real energy ‘I’m over it’

What do I do. Do I ask her again?

No. Girls will change their mind against a date, never for.
