Tumble dryers are great, if you have the space and hookups (electricity/gas/vent). If you just want to get today's laundry dry, wouldn't it be easier to hang it near a heater and set a fan to blow air through it?

They are useful appliances. However make sure you buy one with a high 'A' rating. The extra in purchase price will be quickly repaid in cheaper running costs.

Rather depends if you have space for one. I do not have one by choice as I think they tend to wreck clothes faster.
