Should I get a LG, Samsung, Sony or Vizio 4K tv?

I’m looking to get a new tv in the new year but I can’t decide which I should get. I can’t get the OLED or QLED because it’s too expensive. I’m also going to be getting Xbox one as well I need that one has best screen within budget. I am a movie watcher as well. I was looking at LG because of the google assistance. I heard Samsung are also good and Vizio is brand that I currently have. What’s your opinion? 700 or 600 is around my price range and the size that I’m looking at either 49-55 inch.

Save yourself a fortune: at normal viewing distances you can’t see the benefit of 4K over HD at screen sizes smaller than 56”. And the image processing needed display 4K or and especially to upscale HD to 4K takes a lot of processing power and causes onscreen “jellies” and other unwanted imaging artefacts.

LG, Samsung, Sony and Panasonic are all great. Sony aren’t quite as reliable as the other three.

Save even more money and buy either an excellent condition one or two year old TV in those brands, or look in stores like Richer Sounds which often sell heavily discounted end of production line models.

Try before you buy: some great TVs are ruined by really awful remote controls, but that’s less likely with the four premier brands I’ve mentioned.
