    No. Bob Weir was under 18 for a lot of the early Grateful Dead shows.

    June, Anita and Helen Carter were huge country stars (international even) before they were 18.

    Depends. In some states you person who is under 18 (or 21) is not permitted to perform in a place that servers liquor such as a bar or tavern. If your band wants to perform they may need a contract with the vendor to perform. That would require someone over the age of 18 to sign the contract. And in some states there are laws that restrict how much and how many hours a minor can work.

    But you see people under 18 in bands all the time. Very common.
