9/11 was epic. What's your story of that day?

Tragedy.

You wouldn't have found it to be epic if you'd lived through that time. I was outside looking at my Morning Glories on a beautiful blue sky day. My Mom was at the vet with one of our cats. Then, I got a phone call from a friend about what had happened in NY. It was terrifying, because I didn't know where the attacks would happen next. In fact, when some British pilots (allies) flew over my neighborhood, I cringed. At first, I didn't know if it was terrorists flying those planes.

I was getting dropped off at pre school

That day, it was reported that some of the aircraft that were grounded were found to have box cutters and Islamic literature in the seat back magazine pouches. In the days following, arrests were made, and friends and relatives of the people arrested said that they weren't allowed to make phone and and they never were heard from again.

i was sitting in this exact spot, at this exact computer (well all the parts are different... but it occupies the same *space* ...), listening to the live commentary about it on npr and discussing it with other idiots on the internet, as we called it. speculating on just how "interesting" this chain of events was likely to get, and stuff.

Wondering what was going to happen to the few people I knew that were in the towers. None of them made it.

I was with my daughter and her newborn daughter...
