why no one use [ i reckon ] in USA ?

ok so in wales, people use i reckon in every freaking sentence. and to be honest it's much easier way to form your own opinion. for example, instead of saying in my opinion, you just say i reckon and so on. i just thought about that and i think i'm going to use it often

They use it in the southeastern states, but that accent sounds substandard. It might be a false belief that it’s the alveolar form of ‘recking’ which has died out. When a southerner said ‘reckon’, the stupid yankee thought he was saying ‘reckin’’. So we just avoided the word. That’s my guess. I’m not always accurate. But in the US, anything a Brit says sounds correct.

It's considered more of a slang term used mainly by lower class southerners in USA.

Because that's just not how we talk here in America.
