Looks like The Weekly Standard is closing down...?

The Weekly Standard, a stalwart conservative publication around for what seems like forever, is closing down. Most recently, they were staunch "Never Trumpers" and that might be part of the reason they went down.

23 years isn't exactly "forever" ... I started (was born) in 1995 myself! Millennials don't really read magazines anyway. The article you linked reads like someone got pissed off and just wanted to shutter the business. They had opportunities to sell which they have declined; and apparently there is strategic purpose related to The Washington Examiner (we don't read newspapers either!). The telling quote from the article .... “This isn’t a natural death,”.

Well, if a business cannot generate enough revenue to remain open then it should close.... (GM anyone?)
