iron maiden - the clansman ?
so the intro of the iron maiden - the clansman is so underrated. i believe that i've have heard that kind of riff somewhere. and if not and if it's just my imagination, what do you think ? i think it would be legendary if even this song had that riff. im not really into this song but that intro melody is heckin precious

Well it sounds remarkably similar to "Infinite Dreams" if that helps at all.

At this point it's nearly impossible to come up with a rock/metal riff that's totally unique. It's highly likely that there's a similar riff already put on tape by some other rock or metal band.
The Clansman is a great Iron Maiden tune, though. I particularly enjoy the live version that appears on their "Rock In Rio" album from 2002.
