M.2 PCI-E?

My current laptop: Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2 in 1 with m.2 sata.

Coveting for Lenovo C930 13.9″ with m.2 PCI-E. I mostly browse websites and read & reply emails. PCI-E is much faster including boot time?Should I replace the current laptop.

About the only reason to switch with all that money you would need to spend is to gett the one with 4K. Both are I7. Both use M.2. If you running out of space, you can probably put a TB M.2 in place of the one already there. There are three types of M.2 and they don't list which they use. You want type M as it is four times faster then the PCI bus. The others are B and B&M which are 1 and 2 times the PCI bus speed. My M.2 can go 2300 MiBps (that's BYTES, not bits. Max theoretical with the buss is 4000 MBps. (this is a case where they trying to confuse 1000 and 1024. KiB (kibibyte) is always 1024, KB is 1000)

the difference is not that big. your current rig is fine. you would not notice the difference.

instead, you should try to get a faster internet.
